Control Tower offers resource scheduling functionality designed to quickly and easily handle the fast-paced scheduling needs of newsrooms. Its flexible real-time scheduling gives immediate and total control over equipment bookings, journalist dispatches, and even personal appointments. One individual or an entire network of users can manage equipment and personnel scheduling with just a few clicks of the mouse.

| The scheduling module is developed to speed decision-making by making it easy to see when a resource is available or in use. Links to personal diaries and resource managers allows users to check availability of equipment and review individual and group assignments at a glance in order to avoid bottlenecks.

| The staff calendar, for instance, covers vacation schedules and staff appointments, enabling reporters to enter in appointments and indicate “free” or “busy” time to their editors, vastly simplifying the group scheduling process and eliminating the frustration of phone and email tag. This functionality is readily available to editors as they create story “teams” to ensure that they don’t double book a journalist.
